Darwin in Danish

Darwin’s theory of evolution became known and discussed in Denmark as early as the 1860s. In the 1870s, his three most famous works Voyage of the Beagle, On the Origin of Species and Descent of Man were published in Danish.

In the 1880s, Life and Letters of Charles Darwin was also published in Norwegian, as well as the complete version of Voyage of the Beagle in Danish.
