Autobiography

In 1909, the autobiographical part of Darwin's Life and Letters was translated into Danish by the young student of botany Frits Heide (b. 1883) and published under the title Selvbiografi as a subscription piece along with the revised second editions of On the Origin of Species and The Descent of Man. The autobiography itself cost 0.75 dkk while the collected works could be purchased at the modest price of 10.25 dkk. In 1943, the autobiography was republished.
