Criticism of Brandes

Not everyone was particularly impressed by Darwin and his atheist advocators in Denmark, J.P. Jacobsen, Georg Brandes and Karl Gjellerup. Historian Johannes Steenstrup, son of the anti-evolutionary professor of zoology Japetus Steenstrup, wrote a critique of the way Brandes had used Darwin in the culture struggle.
